ACS SUMMER CHORAL INSTITUTE
SINGER RESOURCES
Get ready for ACS's first Summer Choral Institute! During this event, we will learn music together, develop skills to become better vocalists, and connect as singers! To prepare, we ask that singers review the music we'll be learning in advance. We will not have a lot of time to learn parts on-site, so we ask that singers come with some familiarity with this music.
You will receive hard copies of your music on-site, but please view the PDFs of this music in advance. Click here to access preview PDFs.
Additional resources will be added here as needed.
Learn more about what to expect during our Institute:
- Zebulon Highben will serve as our Guest Clinician, leading rehearsals with singers as we learn a challenging new work together. Dr. Highben serves as Director of Chapel Music at Duke University, and brings a wealth of experience as a choral conductor, educator, and composer. Learn more about Dr. Highben on his website here.
- Presenters will share research and practical tools in sessions on music theory and reading music, and in-depth exploration of how to maintain your vocal health.
- Social opportunities and a special optional yoga session will help us connect and have fun together! Board members will host dine-around lunches on Saturday to facilitate further connections at local restaurants.
